I found out 6 weeks ago I am HIV+ My CD4 is 3% What does that mean overall?

The CD4% is a marker of how HIV might have affected your immune system.

Usually doctor give a CD4 count as well – did your doctor give you this.

Because your CD4% is low it will be important to start HIV treatment. The treatment today is very effective.
