Q and A

Question

I’ve just started Atrozia, how long will the side effects last?

I’m 5 months pregnant. I’ve just started medication, Atrozia. I’m having some side effects. I feel dizzy and tiered all the time. When will these stop?

Answer

Thanks for getting in touch.

When starting Atrozia its common to have the side effects that you’ve described. These usually go within a few weeks. If they continue then you may need to change to another combination. This is something that your doctor will be able to discuss with you. For more info about starting ARVs, please see here:

    Hi Sammy,
Many people have mild side effects when they start. But these usually go away within a week or two. If they don’t go away you can talk to your doctor about changing your meds. Modern HIV treatment (ART) is safe and effective. Here’s a guide to ART in Pictures. It shows how ART works quickly and effectively.
