Question

Is Angular Cheilitis a sign of seroconversion?

Can you tell me if Angular Cheilitis is a sign of HIV seroconversion as it is now 12 weeks since I was possibly exposed to HIV?

Answer

Thank you for your question.

During seroconversion, people experience flu like symptoms, usually about three to four symptoms all at once. But the only way to know for sure if you are experiencing seroconversion, is through an HIV test. Current tests are accurate 3-4 weeks after HIV exposure.

For more information on HIV testing and treatment follow this link to the i-Base factsheet. For more information on seroconversion please see a previous question which outlines some of the possible symptoms.
