Does AZT change the colour of my nails?
Hi,
Please explain the side effects of AZT because I am experiencing the following;
1 – my fingernails are changing colour to black like grey
2 – my discharge is watery no longer white like yogurt
3 – I’m developing small pieces of skin hanging on my vagina
Please help, I am confused. Have a nice day.

AZT has been known to cause discolouration of fingernails and skin. This mainly happens in people of African origin.
The discharge and the skin hanging on your vagina are not usual side effects of AZT and could be caused by an underlying infection. It is important that you mention all these symptoms to your HIV doctor as soon as possible.
