Can you please give me information on the right procedure in getting pregnant when you are HIV positive?

There are different options as regards getting pregnant when you are HIV positive.
The options take into consideration whether your partner is also HIV positive or whether they are HIV negative.

Hi Mandy. If you are taking HIV medsand have an undetectable viral load, you can concieve by having sex and your partner will not catch HIV.
I am HIV positive and my partner is not positve.We feel that its time that we have a baby so I wanted to know if it was possible that I could concieve without getting him infected
The time after your period until you are able to conceive will depend on how long beteween peoriods (ie how long your cycle is) and whether this is regular. For example if you are regular every 28 days, then this will be 9-14 days afterwards. Talk to your doctor about this. Also see the calculator at the bottome of this link page:

Am HIV positive & my partner also we need a child our health is ok, after my periods end how long will I be ready to fall pregnant.
Hi Jessica. One benefit of treatment is that as well as protecting your health, HIV becomes very difficult to transmit. You can also have children that are unlikely to become HIV positive. I hope you have good luck in finding a partner and in your plans for a family.

Being on HIV treatment (ART) can help you have a healthy baby. But it’s important that you talk to your doctor about it so that the baby can be planned.
