Q and A

Question

What's the difference between ART and ARV?

I live in India, and my CD4 count is 523, since I am a middle class guy, I am taking the treatment in the government hospital.

Here they have ART treatment not ARV. Can you tell me the difference between ART and ARV?

Answer

There is no real difference between the ART and ARV.

ARV stands for Antiretrovirals and ART stands for Antiretroviral treatment. These both refer to the same medication, used to treat HIV

Best wishes.

Hi Portia, it is better to take the one you prefer at the time you prefer. Both are very effective, but the one taken in the morning is usually easier for most people. To be specific, if a combination includes efavirenz, this is the “night” pill. If the combination includes dolutegravir, it should be taken in the morning.

Is there a difference between morning or night pill? because I prefer the one for morning instead of the night one…now they told me to take this one at night when I asked about the morning one she said it’s ok I can take it in the morning .
