Q and A

Question

What is my life expectancy?

I am HIV+ and my latest CD4 is 666 and viral load is 1200. I and not on meds . I am 35 years old. I want to know about my life expectancy.

My question is that if my CD4 is above 400 does that mean I am normal?

Please tell me about life expectancy?

Hi Rasal, no one can predict life expectancy for an individual. Lots have studies have reported that average life expectancy is now similar for HIV negative and HIV positive people. This depends on having access to treatment and taking it carefully to keep viral load undetectable. HIV shouldn’t stop you doing anything you want to do.
