Published as an HTB review, this article looks at evidence showing that modern HIV drugs are safe to use during pregnancy. This is both for the mother and baby.
This is important because a recent article in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) suggested that old HIV drugs might be better.
The i-Base article carefully explains problems with the BMJ paper. The problems were so serious that other experts, including UK doctors and researchers, rapidly challenged the BMJ findings.
