Salivary viral load was highest during the first week after symptom onset and subsequently declined with time (slope \u22120\u00b715, 95% CI \u22120\u00b719 to \u22120\u00b711;\u00a0<i>R<\/i><sup>2<\/sup>=0\u00b771).
