{"id":37441,"date":"2020-03-27T11:25:18","date_gmt":"2020-03-27T11:25:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/i-base.info\/htb\/?p=37441"},"modified":"2020-05-15T10:24:18","modified_gmt":"2020-05-15T10:24:18","slug":"open-access-publications-on-covid-19-include-lancet-nature-nejm-jama-jid-cid-and-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/i-base.info\/htb\/37441","title":{"rendered":"Open access publications on COVID-19 include Lancet, Nature, NEJM, JAMA, JID, CID and others"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"HTBsubhead3authorcredit\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/COVID-19-graphic.png\" width=\"231\" height=\"142\" \/>Simon Collins, HIV i-Base<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Over the last three months, hundreds of papers on all aspects of COVID-19 have been published, with most leading journals allowing open access to this research.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">It is a very helpful example that the COVID-19 pandemic is of such global importance that many leading medical journals are making most or all of these key papers available as open access. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Links to selected journals are below.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Lancet journals<\/h2>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/coronavirus?dgcid=kr_pop-up_tlcoronavirus20\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">https:\/\/www.thelancet.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">A search on the Lancet journals in the title of papers or articles in the last three months included more that 250 with COVID-19 in the title and a similar number when searching for coronavirus (many of these may be the same papers).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Nature journals<\/h2>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/search?q=covid-19&amp;page=3\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">https:\/\/www.nature.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Nature website includes more than 130 publications reports and letters, compiled from a range of publications which also seem open access.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>NEJM<\/h2>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/coronavirus\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/coronavirus<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Home pages for more than 40 papers, editorials and correspondence relating to CoV-2, including many reporting data from China.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>JAMA network<\/h2>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/collections\/46099\/coronavirus-covid19\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/collections\/46099\/coronavirus-covid19<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The JAMA network of medical journals already includes 130 papers and related articles.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Oxford academic journals: including JID, CID, IDSA and HIV medicine association journals<\/h2>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">https:\/\/academic.oup.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The publishers of Journal of Infectious Diseases (JID) and Clinical Infections Diseases (CID) have more than 180 papers related COVID-19 which also appear to be open access.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simon Collins, HIV i-Base Over the last three months, hundreds of papers on all aspects of COVID-19 have been published, with most leading journals allowing open access to this research.
