The <\/span>18th International European AIDS Conference (EACS 2021) ran from 27-30 October 2021 as a hybrid conference.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

EACS are to be congratulated for taking this decision.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Approximately a quarter of the more than 3000 delegates attended the ExCel Centre in London, reconnecting for the first time since COVID-19 with interactions that can only come from face-to-face meetings – many commenting on how important this felt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Other delegates were able to watch all the same sessions simultaneously as a live virtual meeting – with instant access to all content. Many of the sessions were also simultaneously translated into Russian.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This means that the conference immediately became available online for delegates. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The programme and abstract book from the meeting are available as open access, but other resources are more complicated, with webcasts behind a paywall.
