Also whether this might continue to be a risk for further transmission. [1, 2]<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"HTBBODYtext\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Summary points from the main article include:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"HTBBODYindent\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Roughly 50% of people shed SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the week after <\/span>COVID-19 diagnosis.<\/li>\n<li class=\"HTBBODYindent\">SARS-CoV-2 RNA can also be found in 4% people after seven months.<\/li>\n<li class=\"HTBBODYindent\">Presence of fecal SARS-CoV-2 RNA is associated with GI symptoms.<\/li>\n<li class=\"HTBBODYindent\">Active infection of GI tissue is likely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"HTBreferences\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">References<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"HTBreferences\">Natarajan A et al.
