The latest additions to the Liverpool Drug Interactions website and services are listed below. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This includes a new resource to help manage interactions with statins and details of a free course for health workers on 18 \u2013 19 September.<\/p>\n

Statins: new summary factsheet<\/h2>\n

Recent updates to HIV treatment guidelines mean that more people living with HIV are likely to be offered moderate intensity statin therapy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The drug-drug interaction potential between antiretrovirals and statins varies depending on the elimination pathway of statins and the inhibition\/induction potential of antiretrovirals.<\/p>\n

A new prescribing resource gives details of the interactions between key ARVs and atorvastatin, pravastatin or rosuvastatin.<\/p>\n

This simple 2-page PDF<\/a> also includes recommendations for the management of the interactions.
