[1]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 6-page guidance is related to the recently announced government HIV Action Plan. [2]<\/p>\n<p>More than 115,000 people are registered as living with HIV in the UK and up to 12,000 didn&#8217;t connect to care for the five years between 2017 and 2022 and roughly 4700 are undiagnosed. People not in care have a higher risk of having advanced HIV with a CD4 &lt;200 copies\/mm3 and account for 38% of HIV-related hospitalisations.<\/p>\n<p>The guidance suggest useful protocols and approaches to re-engaging people into care.<\/p>\n<p>Comments and feedback on the guidance are welcomed and can be made <a href=\"https:\/\/bhiva.org\/rapid-guidance\/\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>References<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Kate Childs, Hannah Alexander, Memory Sachikonye.
