The recent reports of sexual transmission of HCV in HIV-positive gay men are also not mentioned. The report states that sexual transmission probably accounts for about 2% of cases so is not worth expending prevention efforts on.<\/p>\n<p>At the recent UK-CAB meeting Mark Nelson said in the last two years, about 2% of his patients at C&amp;W had contracted hepatitis C sexually. As yet, the specific route for sexual transmission, has not been determined.
