The only things that is close is that emtricitabine (FTC) was linked to some pigment changes in African people &#8211; only a small percentage in the first studies and now very rarely.<\/p>\n<p>If you and your doctor thik something is changing and can&#8217;t think of another option, you could use lamivudine (3TC) instead of emtricitabine (FTC).<\/p>\n<p>The drugs are so similar otherwise that it is easy to switch. This will involved taking three pills separately though, but is one option.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps also take good photogrpahs now in a setting that you can repeat later &#8211; to see if this is getting worse.
