Imagine if all the work on treatment stoped and a cure is not then found for 30 years. Actually, this is a bit like vaccine research. Although some people promised a vaccine in two years, then five, ten\u00a0and twenty years, we still don&#8217;t have one.<\/p>\n<p>But we do have effective treatment that gives us near-normal life expectancy.<\/p>\n<p>This weekend a special conference on HIC cure research is held just before the large HIV conference in Durban.
