This is because rilpivirine, one of the meds in Eviplera, needs food to get to the right drug levels.<\/p>\n<p>Without food, the levels are only half as high as you need.<\/p>\n<p>This NHS leaflet has useful examples of different foods that will get you to 400 calories.<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of other calories guides online, using Google. Add adding butter or cheese to any of the meals below will increase the calorie count.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>Breakfast<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 slices of thick bread and 2 tablespoon of peanut butter.<\/li>\n<li>2 poached\/boiled eggs with 1 slice of bread, margarine and 1 150ml glass fresh fruit juice.<\/li>\n<li>1 bagel with 2 tablespoons of cream cheese and 1 150ml glass orange juice.<\/li>\n<li>Porridge (50g oats and 240ml semi skimmed milk) with sliced banana.<\/li>\n<li>Weetabix x 2 with semi skimmed milk, 30g dried fruit and nuts, 1 pot low fat yoghurt.<\/li>\n<li>1 fried egg, 2 rashers of grilled bacon OR 1 grilled sausage with 3 tablespoons baked beans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 3\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>Lunch<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 tin of sardines\/mackerel in tomato sauce with 2 slices of thick bread.<\/li>\n<li>Ham salad sandwich with 1 bag crisps.<\/li>\n<li>Chicken curry and (100g cooked) rice.<\/li>\n<li>200g (75g uncooked) sadza with grilled chicken\/beef (95g uncooked) with vegetables<\/li>\n<li>2 slices of medium thick bread and 1 400g can of soup<\/li>\n<li>Jacket potato (medium potato) with 1\u20442 tin tuna, 1 tablespoon of light mayonnaise and 3 tablespoons of sweetcorn OR 1\u20442 tin baked beans 15g grated cheese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Evening meal<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>55g fish, 130g jollof rice and 60g vegetables.<\/li>\n<li>150g rice and peas with 15g jerk chicken.<\/li>\n<li>150g cooked spaghetti with 180g Bolognese sauce.<\/li>\n<li>240g shepherd\u2019s pie with vegetables.<\/li>\n<li>100g portion of grilled meat\/ sh with 195g boiled potatoes, vegetables and gravy.<\/li>\n<li>175g beef stew with 2 (90g) dumplings.<\/li>\n<li>200g (75g uncooked) sadza with grilled chicken\/beef (95g uncooked) with vegetables.<\/li>\n<li>2 sh ngers, 100g oven chips, 1\u20444 tin baked beans.<\/li>\n<li>2 slices of thin crust pepperoni or deep pan margherita pizza.<\/li>\n<li>Vegetable and potato curry with (100g cooked) rice and 1 60g chapatti (without fat\/butter).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The link to the leaflet is here:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uhb.nhs.uk\/Downloads\/pdf\/PiDietaryRequirementsOfEviplera.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.uhb.nhs.uk\/Downloads\/pdf\/PiDietaryRequirementsOfEviplera.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi Taking Eviplera with food is very important.
