For those who do become HIV positive, it&#8217;s simply a case of bad luck. Please see Q6 here:<a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/qa\/what-are-the-most-asked-questions\">https:\/\/i-base.info\/qa\/what-are-the-most-asked-questions<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even if you&#8217;ve so far been lucky, you&#8217;re still at risk. This means that until your partner starts treatment and gets an undetectable viral load, you will need to use condoms.
