Lavern is not used for PrEP. Lavern is a generic version of TLD, a combination of tenofovir, lamivudine, and dolutegravir.<\/p>\n
PrEP is a 2 combination medication. TLD and PrEP do both contain tenofovir, but PrEP will usually also contain emtricitabine instead of the other medications. This combination is known as Truvada<\/a>.<\/p>\n The different combinations work differently. Lavern is used to manage an HIV infection.
