Both work in a similar way but the ELFA has a window period which is about 5 days shorter than the ELISA test.<\/p>\n<p>Both are very accurate and will detect about 95% of infections at 28 days and more than 99.99% of infections at 90 days.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on HIV testing please follow this <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/qa\/257\">link<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am from India.<\/p>\n<p>I had a possible exposure to HIV on 23rd Nov 2008 and tested for HIV on 25th Feb 2009 &#8211; 96 days after exposure. The HIV test result said HIV I and II (ELFA) &#8211; Non Reactive.
