Have you spoken with your fianc\u00e9 about being HIV positive?<\/p>\n<p>Have you started treatment? <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/starting\">ART<\/a> means that your viral load will be suppressed. When this number falls below 200, there is no risk to passing on HIV to your partner. This is called <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/u-equals-u\/\">U=U<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While waiting for treatment to suppress your viral load, using a condom can prevent transmission. So can your partner using <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/prep\">PrEP<\/a>. This is a medication they can use to prevent transmission.<\/p>\n<p>HIV should not be a barrier to your marriage.
