Have you started treatment?<\/p>\n<p>Starting treatment now, even though late in your pregnancy, will greatly reduce the risk of transmission. Baby will also be given <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/qa\/factsheets\/infant-meds-when-the-mother-is-living-with-hiv\">their own medication<\/a> after birth to further reduce this risk.<\/p>\n<p>HIV positive women all over the world give birth to healthy, HIV negative children.
