Transmission is not a sure thing. If you are on treatment with a suppressed viral load, it is not possible for you to pass on HIV. This is called <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/u-equals-u\/\">U=U<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are a number of other factors that can change risk of transmission. These are explained <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/testing\/risks-for-transmission\">here<\/a>.
