Is your boyfriend taking HIV treatment? If yes, then if his viral load is undetectable, you don’t have to worry about reinfection.<\/p>\n

Also, if you are used to having sex together without condoms, then you are already likely to have the same virus, reinfection is also not a worry.<\/p>\n

Finally, even in other circumstances – ie if he has a detectable viral load – this is still not reinfection. This is becasue these symptoms are too soon after having sex for this to be reinfection.<\/p>\n
