As you have had a second exposure after finishing your course, PEP is no longer active in your body and you will require a second course.<\/p>\n<p>Was this exposure high risk? In most instances PEP is not required when it is a low risk exposure. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/testing\/risks-for-transmission\">work out your risk here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Have you considered <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/prep\">PrEP<\/a>? This is a medication you can take daily or as-and-when for protection.
