Have you started this treatment yet?<\/p>\n<p>Recovery of CD4 count is slow. It is not like suppressing viral load which can happen in a number of months. Increasing CD4 count can be a few years but it will slowly increase while on treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Treatment stops HIV killing CD4 cells. The body can then naturally recover it&#8217;s own CD4 count. While your CD4 count is 160 have you been offered any antibiotics? Usually it is called co-trimoxazole.
