This is a normal rate for CD4 recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike viral load which can become suppressed quickly, recovery of CD4 takes time.<\/p>\n<p>The lower the CD4 count to begin with, the longer the recovery can be. Going up from 99 to 151 in 5 months is really encouraging and shows that your immune system is improving.<\/p>\n<p>A full recovery of CD4 count can take time, often a few years after starting treatment. Are you on co-trimoxazole?
