Hepatitis A usually has one injection then a booster one year later which lasts for 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>Hepatitis B vaccination is usually given as a course of three injections within a period of about 6 months. In the UK, shortly after the last injection, a blood test is given to measure the amount of antibodies produced. This will then tell you how long you need to wait for your booster. It is usually between 3-5 years but varies depending on your individual immune system response.<\/p>\n<p>When you go for your final vaccination on 27\u00a0July you should ask the doctor when to go for your booster.<\/p>\n<p>Routine monitoring for HIV-positive people should include an annual check on the levels of immunity to hepatitis A and B so that when you need boosting this is done in plenty of time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello,<\/p>\n<p>I am due to get my last shot of hepatitis vaccine next month on 27th July to complete the three doses.
