It is great that your dr is managing this and is able to sort out access to your antivirals.

How were you doing on treatment before you ran out e.g., was your viral load suppressed? and have you had problems with treatment in the past?

In most cases, even taking longer breaks than these 2 weeks people do not have a problem restarting medication.

After a week there is risk of a viral rebound so it is advised to use a condom and retest your viral load after restarting before relying on U=U again.

Testing your viral load again soon after starting will also show you that your meds are still working and resistance isn’t a problem.

I recognise that going a couple weeks without treatment can be scary, but you and your doctor are being proactive and even though resistance is a possibility, these are rare cases and you are currently doing everything correctly.

Josh.

I’m trying not to freak out but due to insurance change and a mess up on getting refills I’m going to be two weeks out with out of my med Odesfy.
