As you have been on treatment since 2018 it is likely that you have a viral load below 200\/undetectable?<\/p>\n<p>If this is the case there is no risk of transmission to your partner. This is called <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/testing\/uu-undetectable-untransmittable\">U=U<\/a>. It means that when on treatment and your viral load is suppressed, it is impossible to pass on HIV via sex. Even without using a condom there is no risk of transmission.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a higher viral load, being on treatment will still greatly reduce the risk of transmission and there are other factors that impact this which are <a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/testing\/risks-for-transmission\">explained here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Josh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have HIV and since 2018 I am taking my drugs.
