Do you know your CD4 or viral load results yet and do have access to HIV treatment (called ART).<\/p>\n

This link is for people who just found out they are living with HIV as I feel it will help you navigate the first few months.

Please don’t worry. Things will be alright.<\/p>\n

HIV transmission doesn’t happen so easily and your partner will not be at risk from kissing. This guide has info about sexual transmission until you become undetectable on ART.

ARVs nowadays are very effective and will get your viral load to undetectable within a few months, possibly earlier.<\/p>\n

When you become undetectable you will not be able to pass on HIV to your sexual partners:

In the meantime your partner can start PrEP which prevents HIV:

Please also ask your doctor if you should be on some antibiotic or vitamins for your gums.<\/p>\n
