Blister packs should be stored at room temperature between 68\u00b0F and 77\u00b0F (20\u00b0C to 25\u00b0C). This is for an in-use bottle, where the seal has been broken to remove daily pills.<\/p>\n<p>However, a new leaflet (mainly for health workers) about storage and stability has very useful guidance\u00a0for when the temperature is higher than this.\u00a0For example, unopened bottles with the original seal can be stored in temperatures\u00a0up to 104\u00b0F (40\u00b0C) for up to six months or up to 122F 50C without affecting the stability.<\/p>\n<p>See:<br \/>\nBiktarvy storage and stability (April 2026)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.askgileadmedical.com\/docs\/biktarvy\/biktarvy-storage-and-stability\/pdf\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.askgileadmedical.com\/docs\/biktarvy\/biktarvy-storage-and-stability\/pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although this leaflet doesn&#8217;t include these higher temperatures for opened bottles, I expect your meds will be fine. This is because even if the car became hot, it sounds like the meds were in a shady part of the car, rather than being directly under the window etc.<\/p>\n<p>However, this also depends on how hot it was in Croatia at the time.<\/p>\n<p>A less scientific approach is to also check the colour and texture of the pills to meds that weren&#8217;t in the car. If they still look and feel the same this is good.<\/p>\n<p>If you are worrying about U=U still being okay for your partner, this should not be a problem either.<\/p>\n<p>Were all your meds in the car or did you also keep some at home? If you had some stored at home then you could alternate the different meds each day until the car meds are finished. If there were any slight changes then taking the car meds every second day would cover this.
