I doubt that anybody can, in fact.<\/p>\n<p>In practical terms, the &#8216;symptoms&#8217; that you mention can be a result of many other underlying conditions or infections. This needs to be checked by a doctor.<\/p>\n<p>As for a repeat test, you can do that for your own peace of mind. We generally advise people with active sexual life to get regularly tested-say every 6 months.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had a sexual contact 9 weeks ago, which was fairly low-risk. I became concerned about infection, however, because I developed symptoms 2 weeks after this contact: low fever, sensitive glands, night sweats.<\/p>\n<p>I had a HIV DUO test 27 days after the contact, which was negative. I still have the gland and sweating symptoms however, although no fever (but feeling feverish at times). I therefore continue to be anxious.<\/p>\n<p>My question: how accurate in statistical terms is the DUO test after 27 days (one day less than recommended minimum)?
