However, drug interactions with 5HTP have not been researched extensively.<\/p>\n<p>You should talk to your HIV doctor before starting these meds and ask him\/her to monitor you closely when you first start the 5-HTP just in case. You should ask for a Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) test once you have begun taking the 5-HTP to ensure the levels of HIV meds in your blood are at adequate levels. This is just a precaution. Being monitored whenever starting new and relatively unknown drugs is always a good idea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am on on Truvada and etravirine (Intellence).
