PEP has a very high success rate if you have taken it correctly. The recommendation is that after completing PEP, you need to take an HIV test and a confirmatory test three months later. This is important because there is no guarantee that PEP will always work. If PEP is not effective it could delay the time to seroconversion. I had unprotected sex with a woman.
