My job as a microbiologist involves testing Hep c + controls, cmv + controls, HIV1\/2 assays and cancer assays for prostate specific antigen.
\nI know there is a biohazardous risk and we use protective equipment but I am worried since I am HIV+. Does the CMV pose a risk to me?
\nAlso the company monitors employees’ health by doin blood tests, etc.<\/p>\n
The HIV specialist I see says to tell them I have diabetes and my own doctor monitors my blood so there’s no need for them to take blood.
\nWhilst a nurse at the gum clinic said if the company does not specificially ask I dont have to tell them.
