Starting treatment before your CD4 count drops to below 200 will protect you from most serious<br \/>\nopportunistic infections. These are illnesses such as pneumonia, which can<br \/>\ndevelop when your immune system is compromised.<\/p>\n<p>Is there any particular reason why you haven&#8217;t started taking treatments<br \/>\nyet? Both the UK and World Health Organisation guidelines recommend starting<br \/>\ntreatment with a CD4 count of 350 copies. It is important therefore that you<br \/>\ndiscuss starting treatments in the near future, with your doctor.<\/p>\n<p>Would you be able to access treatment?
