The best approach is:<\/p>\n
1. Take your evening dose as usually, while you are still here (in the UK, I presume).<\/p>\n
2. Take another dose after 12 hours (note, not after 24!), perhaps already on the plane.<\/p>\n
3. Take the next dose when it is 11pm in Australia.<\/p>\n
4. Keep on taking your dose at 11pm Australian time for the duration of your holiday<\/p>\n
Do not worry that for a certain period you will have a higher concentration of the medication in your body. It is only for a day and is safe. You may be a bit dizzy as a result of that, but maybe able to sleep better during the flight :)<\/p>\n

I tested HIV+ in Aug ’08 and then discovered my CD4 was 104 & viral load was 118,000. I began Atripla last week and take it regularly at 11:00pm.<\/p>\n
I’m due to go on holiday to Australia after Christmas (3 months time). Should I take it the same time regardless of where I am or can I adjust the time taken, so that I still take it at 11:00pm.<\/p>\n
I think if I take it in the mornings, it could ruin my holiday but also understand the importance of adherence, especially in the early months.<\/p>\n
