But each pill usually includes three or four drugs.<\/p>\n<p>So missing one pill also means you are missing all these drugs. This is why adherence is so important.<\/p>\n<p>A few combinations only include two drugs. This is because\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/category\/arvs\/integrase-inhibitors\">integrase inhibitors<\/a>\u00a0are very potent. Integrase inhibitors are the latest type of HIV medicine.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/14379\">Dolutegravir\/3TC<\/a> (Dovato).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/13825\">Dolutegravir\/rilpivirine<\/a> (Juluca). *<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/i-base.info\/guides\/15361\">Cabotegravir LA + rilpivirine LA<\/a> (long-acting injections).*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>* These two-drug ART can only be used once viral load is undetectable.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Other two-drug ART are being developed.
