What about bilirubin?
If you are taking atazanavir, the levels of bilirubin in the baby might be higher than normal.
Your healthcare team will follow your baby’s bilirubin levels very carefully. The baby might have phototherapy treatment with light using a special machine to reduce the levels of bilirubin.
Although extremely high levels of bilirubin might damage a baby’s developing brain there have not been any reports of this with atazanavir.
