Question

Can Re-infection occur and produce an HIV negative result?

Is it possible for two people who are HIV positive but are unaware of their status
continue to re-infect each other and have a negative antibody test?

Answer

Thank you for your question.

First of all an HIV positive status can only be confirmed by an HIV test.

Well as two people who are an aware they are HIV positive may continue to reinfect each other, it is very unlikely then that they can test HIV negative.
