Recent HTB highlights
New guidelines on the management of persistent low-level viraemia (LLV) by an international panel of more than 100 experts and are now published in Lancet HIV. Importantly, they recognise there can be two distinct mechanisms for viral rebound: (i) ongoing replication which can be resuppressed or (ii) viral production from reservoir site which is non-suppressible.
- Important drug interactions between HIV drugs and encorafenib and dabrafenib
- Updated US paediatric HIV guidelines include dolutegravir from birth
- FDA and EMA applications to expand dolutegravir indication to newborns from birth
