One reflection of the current climate in the US under the new Trump administration is shown by the conference organisers’ need to publish the statement below.
CROI 2026 included many sessions documenting the decimation of so many health programmes, including thousands of research studies that were abruptly cancelled without regard to the safety of study participants or this importance of the results that were lost.
Speakers focussed on the decimation from these policies on global health.
