Thanks for the question. There is no data to support that taking PEP for any longer than 28 days is beneficial. In exceptional circumstances the course may be extended, but does require very specific criteria to be met and consultation with an HIV specialist.
Taking PEP every day for the 28 day course is what minimizes your risk most. This page will explain how best to use PEP for the best results.

All reactive rapid tests need to be confirmed at a reference laboratory because there is a risk of false positive.
I believe that was the situation with your partner.

I started having sex with a lady with condom but the condom removed during the intercourse because she excessively applied a lubricant on her vagina. I stopped the sex immediately the condom removed and I started PEP(ACRIPTEGA) within 24 hours after the exposure. So 3 days later she went to check her status. First result says HIV positive but the lab technician referred her to a General hospital clinic the next day where she was tested HIV negative twice. I have been taking my pep roughly same day and I’m at day 14. Please what are my chances of not being infected. I have been so much depressed and worried.

Every PEP course is 28 days.
There is no harm in continuing with a few more days of PEP.
I took 29 days of pep should I finish the 30 or should I stop?

Was there a reason you have been taking it for so long? It is recommended to take PrEP instead of PEP when actively preventing HIV.

Hello josh pleasegood what happen if one take PEP for straight 90days (3month) and within does period of 90days the person is expose will the PEP still work?
