Do the enlarged lymph nodes appear only in the beginning?

I have known I am HIV-positive for 9 months. I think I may have caught it 9 years ago althought 9 months ago was the first time I had been unwell. Ihad swollen lymph nodes a rash which I have been told you only get when you first get the virus. Is this true?

No, this is not true. You can have enlarged (swollen)
