What can I do for this sore?

Hi,

Thanks for this wonderful website.

I have a mouth sore just below the gum on my right hand side. I have been feeling pain on my lymph node. I suspect it is the white blood cells trying to fight the infection. My CD4 count is over 1000. When should I be worried or what is the best remedies for the sore? Lymph nodes are sensitive and am scared the lump might get big.

Thanks for the information on HIV and swine flu. It puts my mind at ease.

With a CD4 count of above 1000, there isn’t much that you should be worried about when it comes to possible opportunistic infections.

The sore can be a result of different reasons and same goes for the lump. It is important a doctor to see those, as if they turn out to be something more serious, you deal with them ASAP.
