Hi,
I have been HIV+ for 2 years. I am 31 and l’m male. I have mouth ulcers and a little blood in my stools. I take co-trimoxazole twice & b-complex at night. What medicine should I take now? Please help me.

Thanks for your email. It is important that you discuss these symptoms with your doctor as I can not diagnose these online.
It is important that your doctor looks into the symptoms you are experiencing, and also that s/he checks your CD4 count. If your CD4 count is 350 or below it is important that you discuss starting ARVs with your doctor. Co-trimoxazole and b-complex do not treat HIV and if your CD4 count is low it is important that you are on treatment to prevent opportunistic infections. Have you had your CD4 count checked recently?
