A map of international research produced by the International AIDS Society. The IAS undated this review every three years. This third edition was published in 2021 as a technical article in the leading scientific journal Nature.

Timothy Ray Brown: the first person cured of HIV
Links to reports about Timothy Brown, first reported at the Berlin Patients, who in 2008 was was the first person reported to be cured of HIV following stem cell transplantation.
Adam Castelliejo, the second person cured of HIV
This i-Base article about Adam Castelliejo, the London Patient. In 2018, Adam was the second person to be cured from HIV after using stem-cell transplantation to treat his cancer. The new stem cells came from a donor who had high level of immunity to HIV.

Interview with Loreen Willenberg, who was able to go for 30 years without needing HIV treatment. This was because her viral load stayed undetectable and her CD4 count stayed high for all this time. This has only been reported for one other person, a woman known as the Esperanza Patient.
