Question

I’m 20 weeks pregnant and on ARVs is my baby infected?

i am currently 20 weeks pregnant, started my meds 3 months ago with viral load 98112 and CD4 count 263 .now my viral load is 63000 , is my child infected and is there any chance of delivering a healthy baby ? very worried

    Hi Zee, thanks. The risk of the baby being HIV positive are dramatically reduced if the mother has an undetectable viral load on ART – during the pregnancy, at birth, and afterwards. It is always a good sign if the early tests for the baby are negative, but a negative HIV test after two years will confirm your baby does not have HIV.

    Hi I wanna know if u gave birth to a healthy bay is there any possibility that he might be positive when he grow up?
